The lapel pins indicate support for those who have or are currently having struggles with their mental wellbeing. In many situations when we are struggling, what often keeps us going is what we love. This is known in crisis intervention as the ‘hook’. The heart can often overcome the brain if we focus on what we love, something that is so close to our heart that it refocuses our thoughts.
